Music & Mood
Music & Mood is where the songs meet the feelings.
It is the space between what Layla and Malik say out loud and everything they keep tucked behind a look, a pause, or one song played a few too many times. The music gives their feelings a voice. The mood tells you what those feelings are doing to them once the room gets quiet.
Some emotions are easier to admit when somebody else sings them first.
For Layla and Malik, music becomes the place where everything they are trying not to say finally gets honest. The hesitation. The wanting. The late-night thoughts that show up uninvited and refuse to leave. The kind of desire that starts in the mind, settles into the body, and has you replaying one song until the lyrics start feeling a little too damn personal.
Layla’s playlist is full of soft confessions, hard truths, and the things she only allows herself to feel after midnight. It is the sound of a woman learning that wanting someone does not mean losing herself. Every song carries a piece of what she is afraid to admit: she misses him when he is gone, she feels safer than she expected, and somewhere between the music and the silence, she is starting to want more.
Malik’s playlist is his answer. Steady. Intentional. Patient. Sexy without having to announce itself.
His songs say everything his quiet nature sometimes keeps behind his eyes. He hears Layla’s fear, her desire, her boundaries, and every truth hidden between the lines. He does not rush her. He does not play with her. He simply lets the music remind her that he is present, he is listening, and when she is ready to let go, he will meet her there.
Together, their playlists become a conversation. She confesses. He replies. She lets the song say what her mouth is not ready to. He chooses the one that lets her know he understood every word.
And when they finally stop overthinking, stop fighting what is already there, and let desire take over? Baby, the mood changes. The rhythm gets slower. The lyrics get bolder. The room gets warmer. Suddenly, every note feels like a look held too long, a hand resting somewhere it should probably move from, and two grown people deciding they are done pretending they do not want each other.
So press play. Listen to Layla’s confessions. Sit with Malik’s replies. Let their songs pull you into the space between longing and surrender, where softness meets intention and desire finally gets permission to speak.
Then go dig through your own music bag. Find the song that makes you think about somebody you probably should not text after midnight. Find the one that reminds you what safe love could feel like. Find the one that makes you close your eyes, turn the volume up, and let your imagination get a little grown.
Because sometimes a love story begins with a conversation. And sometimes, it begins with the right damn song!

Every Story has a Soundtrack
As the story grows, so will the music.
Every new chapter brings a different feeling, a different mood, and sometimes a song that says what my characters are not ready to admit yet. So I’ll keep adding new playlists as the writing continues, giving you a deeper look into the love, tension, healing, desire, and all the messy little feelings living between the pages.
Keep coming back.
There will always be another song, another mood, and another piece of the story waiting for you.
Because around here, the music does more than play in the background.
It brings the love together..
